CUT YOUR CARBON
Improving carbon literacy in schools

Climate Change
We have to act now to reduce our emissions if we are to prevent the worst outcomes of climate change. All schools must be sutainable by 2020. DCSF Sustainable Schools Framework comprises eight sustainable areas or doorways, which schools should use to help embed sustainable development. These are:
Food & drink
• Energy & water
• Travel & traffic
• Purchasing & waste
• Buildings & grounds
• Inclusion & participation
• Local well-being
• Global dimension
Cut Your Carbon assists schools in embedding sustainability in a fun way, by providing education and training to both pupils and staff in all of these areas.  The information and training provided by Cut Your Carbon enables pupils to learn about their environment, it’s ecological challenges and how best to resolve the global crisis involving climate change.  The information is provided in a fun and interesting way that enables participants to implement positive changes to personal practices.
